The governor of California, Gavin Newsom, already had a podcast. Now he also has a substitute.
Newsom on Tuesday launched his own place in the popular place for independent journalists, calling it a way to break with “noise”.
“We have to flood the area and continue to cut off the misinformation machine on the right,” he wrote in the publication that was accompanied by a video by the speaking governor.
“There is so much misinformation and misinformation, there is so much noise, I don’t need to say,” Newsom said.
“The question is, how can we break all this noise and dedicate ourselves to real conversations? And that is why I throw myself to the substitute. I hope you continue so that we can continue to participate in a two -way conversation at this critical moment in our history.”
Newsom started his new project by sharing his op-Ed digital digital on Tuesday entitled “Trump is trying to destroy our democracy. Don’t leave it.”
He also published an interview with a democratic strategist and Tiktoker Aaron Parnas.
He told Parnas that joining the new media platforms like Substack was “fundamental and fundamental” for democratic strategy and dissemination, and that his party must be more “aggressive” with his messaging.
Newsom launched his own podcast in March, “This is Gavin Newsom”, where he talked with liberal allies, but also pro-trump figures like Charlie Kirk and Newt Gingrich.
The probable candidate for the 2028 Democratic presidency already has a high profile, but has kept the point of view even more in recent weeks, as California became the epicenter of the illegal repression of immigration of the Trump administration.
Newsom has talked severely against the deployment of President Donald Trump of the National Guard and the Marines in Los Angeles to suppose the riots generated by the anti-angel protests.
“These are men and women formed by foreign combat, not a domestic police.
“With this act, President Trump has betrayed our soldiers, the North -American people and our basic traditions; they are ordered to the patrol soldiers the same North -American communities who swore protecting in wars abroad. The deployment of federal soldiers does not protect our communities, but rather traumatize them,” he wrote. “
Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta filed a lawsuit accusing Trump of exceeding their limits by illegally deploying the National Guard to involve the discomfort.
Last week, a federal judge stood with California in his ruling, and directed Trump to return control of the National Guard troops in command of Newsom.
“The defendants are temporarily considered to deploy members of the California National Guard in Los Angeles,” wrote the Judge of the North District -American Charles R. Breyer in his sentence.
“The defendants are aimed at returning control of the California National Guard to Governor Newsom.”
White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly exploded the sentence as an “abuse of power” that “jeopardizes our brave federal officials” and said that the Trump administration would appeal the decision.
A Federal Appeal Court maintained the ruling and will hear the arguments on Tuesday to review if Trump can continue to use the California National Guard to protect immigration officials and reduction protests.
